  • A group of parents in Chicago from a high-minority, low-income school are facing an overly-aggressive turnaround strategy imposed on them from Chicago Public Schools.  The strategy will force a private company on their community to manage them, and last Saturday, parents decided to occupy the school.  Here is a photo album and quick description of what happened.  Note: this same turnaround strategy is used in Denver, most recently in the Montbello area.
